The last 2 months-Warning long post!

There hasn't been all that much happening in the last 2 months believe it or not.

I started to feel better in the beginning of March, finally. Although I am still not 100%, most of the time besides being extremely tired, I feel great. The mornings are a little rough if I don't eat breakfast quick enough, other than that I am just enjoying all the food that I am not depriving myself of!

My sister Kelli came to visit for a week. We went shopping and to the aquarium, and out to eat a bunch. I think we had ice cream every day while she was here :) Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures and facebook won't let me save hers for some reason.

We've had beautiful weather up here. Lot's of days in the high 70's-low 80's and a few in the high 80's! We've gone to the park a ton with our moms group. Luckily after a long day of "finging" (aka swinging...Jocelyn's favorite thing) she is work out and takes a wonderful nap, which is always a plus for mommy!

Now we are getting ready to begin going to the lake! I have never spent any summers at the lake. It's always been the pool or the beach so this will be very different for me. It's strange to think that this is what Jocelyn will be used to, with an occasional visit to the beach. I have a few girlfriends with pools in their community, I am sure we will be spending time there a lot too! We blew up Jocelyn's little pool the other day but the hose water was freezing. She wouldn't even sit down in it. Of course, she didn't want to get out either. I would post pictures of that, but we left her swimsuit in FL and I didn't think it was appropriate to post her in the nude ;)

A few weeks ago, we took a Sunday trip up to the Ocoee river and stopped where they had the 1996 Olympic whitewater rafting. It was a really cool mostly man made spot. Brian and Jocie threw rocks in the the river for a while. She loves to be outside with her daddy.

We got her a new potty too. She wasn't too fond of the one that sat on the big toilet, so we got a little frog chair that we can put wherever and she can just sit and relax! So far we have had absolutely no progress. She sat on it one time, then got up and told me she had to go poopy, then refused to sit back down. I'm sure we'll have plenty more times like that before it actually starts working. Hopefully it will happen before baby#2 is born, but we'll see since I am not pushing it by any means.

Since this post is so long, I'll leave you with some cute pics of the lil' miss!

Week 19- Almost half way!

Once again, sorry for the lack of posts in the past 2 months. Time is FLYING by believe it or not. I'll update soon with new pictures of our girl and tell you all about vacation to Florida and the beautiful weather we've been having. But, until then here is an update on how this pregnancy is going.

Yeah...About those resolutions.

If you look back, you will see that I hadn't really planned on doing any resolutions, they just kept popping into my head until I had to write them down. Well, I can honestly say that I don't think I followed one of them for even a day. But, at least it has been for a pretty darn good reason!

We found out on New Year's Eve that Jocelyn is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! As of right now, my due date is September 7th, 2011. Let me just tell you, that seems like a LIFETIME away, but I know it will be here before I know it (and probably before I am truly ready for it!)

Unfortunately, the first trimester is probably my LEAST favorite time in life. ever.
I am cursed with horrible morning-sickness. It is actually all day sickness. This time was bad, but luckily not as bad as it was with Jocelyn. I think I got to the Doctor and got Zofran before I was too far into it.

Having to take care of Jocie has made it much much harder, but at the same time it has forced me to get up and take her places. I feel too bad if I just lay on the couch all day, so before lunch at least 3 days a week, we went out and had play-dates or went to the indoor playground. The best part of getting out of the house meant that we got to go out to lunch too! My only aversion this time has been My Kitchen! I gag every time I walk into or even THINK about the kitchen. It's pretty bad.

Thank God, I have the absolute BEST husband in the world! For the past 5 weeks, I have not had to make one meal or clean up after myself AT ALL. I seriously mean, that he has done every load of laundry, cleaned every part of the house, made food, picked up my garbage, and anything else you can imagine. All of this after working all day! I love you so much Brian!

I can tell I am on my way back to feeling normal for many reason! One is that I finally decided to make a new blog post. The second is that I have had to FORCE myself to go to Target (normally my favorite place!) and not only did I enjoy being there, I was able to look at things other than necessities! I got Jocie the cutest outfit that I have had my eye on ;) I have not cared about anything for the past month, and I am finally caring again.

Whew, I didn't think I was ever going to feel normal again. Don't get me wrong, I am not 100% by any means, but at least I can function without gagging every 5 steps!

Hopefully, I'll be better at updating and posting pictures now, but I can't make any promises ;)

Video- Finding what Santa Claus brought!

Resolution Time

I had the best of intentions to NOT have any resolutions for 2011, but somehow I kept adding them to a list in my head and before I knew it, there were like 5 things on the list. Without further ado, here they are:

1. This is a long shot but I would "like" to lose 30 lbs by June. It is my 10 year HS reunion, so what better time to put this plan into action? It is only 5 lbs a month, which is VERY doable. If I stop eating tons of junk and start doing some kind of workouts at least 3-4 days a week this shouldn't be too crazy. I tried to talk Brian into getting a gym membership, but at $100 a month it is too much at the moment, since I am not really working.

2. PAY OFF DEBT. We have been following Dave Ramsey for a few years now. Sometimes we are 90% on board, other months we are closer to 25%. So our goal is to be 100% and pay off our remaining debt. Live like no one else, so we can live like no one else!

3. Keep up with my blog better. Since I stopped keeping Jocie's baby book and photo album up to date, this is basically my only way of having a record of what she has done.

4. Learn to do lot's of new things this year. Use my sewing machine better, take awesome pictures with this new camera, play 1 song on the violin Brian got me for Christmas last year, and knit.

That is all for now!

I will leave you with some of the pictures I have taken in the past week!

White Christmas 2010

This year was spent different than any other Christmas I have ever had. My mother and father in law, and sister and brother in law and niece came up to our house to celebrate with Brian Jocelyn and I!

They came up from Florida on Christmas Eve and we mostly just hung out around the house visiting, waiting to eat dinner! I was able to start all my own traditions this year, which was pretty fun. I may be tweaking some of them and adding to them next year though. We did appetizers and finger foods for dinner that night.

Then we all got to open 1 gift and of course, they were PJ's! The babies matched, the girls matched and the guys matched. The goal next year is to find some where we ALL match each other. Then we read "The Night Before Christmas" and the girls had baths and went to bed to Santa could come bring the gifts!

I have NEVER been able to sleep on Christmas Eve before. I think I could this year, because Santa came before I went to sleep, so I knew what it looked like down stairs. Of course, I woke up before everyone else, and to my surprise, Santa did come! He brought us our very first White Christmas!

Santa's sleigh must have been pretty heavy, because he left a ton of stuff at our house!
Some of that is from the Grandma's and Grandpa's...It was too big too wrap up.

From now on my pictures will hopefully be much better, since my wonderful hubbs got me a new
Nikon D3100! Now I just need to learn how to use it. Luckily my very talented sister-in-law Jennifer was there to show me a few tricks.

We had to take a break in the middle of opening presents to eat a yummy breakfast of hash-brown casserole and cheese-danish cake (aka Fat Casserole!) Then it was back to opening presents for what seemed like hours. Jocelyn got side-tracked about 1/3rd of the way through, so all of those clothes that I just HAD to wrap up for her, were opened by yours truly!

Then, it was time to go play in the snow! Jocelyn loved it and didn't want to come in. I forgot to get her mittens so she wore mine. Surprisingly she didn't take them off right away either.

I made dinner that night with a little help from Brian's mom and it was delicious! We didn't even have room to eat the Pecan pie I made.
Here are some pics of Jocelyn enjoying her toys and the snow:
