30 weeks down, 10 to go!

(Please excuse the fact that I am in a bikini and my sunglasses are falling off my face. One day I'll actually like these 2  pictures... hope!)

Current Week: 30

Weeks to go: 10

Weight gain:
I go to the doctor in the morning, but let's just say I already gained as much as I did total with Jocelyn!

StretchiesNone.

Movement: He starts moving in the evening right around bedtime and doesn't stop! He will be till as as soon as Brian puts a hand on my belly though. If only it were that easy when he is actually born!

Cravings: ice

Sleep: I sleep pretty good. Only have to get up for the bathroom once or twice. Unfortunately, J is having a hard time staying in her bed so that extra person in our queen size bed is making it a little more uncomfortable. especially since she likes to cuddle up as close to me as possible!

Best moment this week: We have had an awesome week and it's only Wednesday! Splash Pad, Playworld and the beach at the Lake!

Gender: Boy!!!

Labor signs: Nothing that I really notice.

Belly button: all the way out! I love it :) Jocelyn think's it is so funny.

What I miss: sleeping on my back, being able to walk up stairs without getting so tired.

What I'm looking forward to:  Our new bedroom furniture being delivered on Saturday.

Weekly wisdom: Get busy making decisions on nursery items!

Milestones: 30 weeks! Isn't that enough?!

FLORIDA!

From the title, this post sounds like we took a luxurious vacation back to Florida this summer. Not so :) We went back over Father's Day weekend for my 10 year high school reunion. When I say it was "over the weekend", I mean we drove down Thursday and drove back up to Tennessee on Monday. Needless to say, it wasn't much of a vacation at all. We were actually lucky to get to go down Thursday, because our plan was to leave Friday...Thank you to B's boss for letting him have the day off at the last minute.
My sister Kelli and Jocie

We were able to take our time driving down and didn't leave until after a doctor appt at 11. We stopped many many times along the way which made our normally 9 hour drive an "exciting" 11.5 hour drive! We stopped for lunch at The Varsity in Atlanta. It was really crowded but pretty tasty food! Jocelyn ate her first hot dog with the bun! Then we stopped at every other exit so this poor pregnant lady could us the bathroom. We also got to stop for dinner at Chipotle in Jacksonville. It was such a treat since we don't have Chipotle in Chattanooga for some strange reason. We finally pulled into my dad's house at 11:30.

Friday morning we were able to get up and go spend the morning at the beach. I never cared about going to the beach when we lived 20 minutes away (most of my life) But, now that I can't just pick up and go whenever I want, that's ALL I can think about! It doesn't help that every single person I know up here takes a beach vacation to Florida every summer :) Maybe we will be able to plan a trip for a week next summer. After we came back form the beach, we drove by our old house and our neighbors were outside! So we got a chance to catch up with them for a while, which is nice since I haven't seen them since we moved.

Saturday morning, my sister Brandi and my nieces Makenna and Carsyn came over to spend some time with us! I have never seen anything as cute as those girls when they saw each other again! They laughed and giggled and hugged and spun around in circles for at least 20 minutes! I am kicking myself now for not having mu camera out to take pictures.

I love these pictures of the cousins! They are only 3.5 months apart.

We also spent Saturday at my Grandma's house visiting with my mom's side of the family and celebration Jocie's Birthday (again!) It was nice to have a home cooked meal, that I didn't cook :)
My sweet grandma. Jocie calls her GG.

Jocie blowing out her candles for the millionth time!

This girl could blow out candles every day of the year!

Saturday night was my reunion. It was basically like I figured it would be...I talked to the same people I was friends with in high school and who I "see" on facebook now. I was kind of disappointed that a few of the people i was looking forward to seeing didn't go though. Out of a class of over 800 people, we might have had 100 at the reunion. I think more went to the "ice breaker" downtown on Friday night, but I wasn't in the mood to go hang out at a bar with a bunch of drunk people ;)

Sunday, Father's Day, we spent the day hanging out in the pool and eating cake for Brandi's birthday. Later that afternoon, we drove up to St. Augustine and surprised Brian's dad! He didn't know we were coming into town at all, much less having Father's Day dinner with him and spending the night.
 My little mermaid girl.
Makenna just learned to swim like a fish!

So that was our summer "vacation" and I use that term loosely! I thought about going down again before the baby arrives, but I think my window of opportunity is going to pass before I am able to go again!

Guess Whoo's having a Party?!

Jocelyn and her best friend Lola have birthdays about a week apart, so her mommy and I decided to throw them a Birthday party together since they have the same friends!

We went with a pink and green owl theme and had so much fun planning it together!

Most of the decorations we made ourselves.

We ordered this cute banner from Burley Girl Designs on Etsy.

The cookies were made by Truly Scrumptious Cookies also on Etsy.

I got the stickers for the water bottles and Thank You stickers for the back of the cookie favors from Party Ink on Etsy.

Can you tell I love etsy?! I don't think I would have gotten so many good party ideas if it weren't for this website :)

The cake was so good! We had individual cupcakes made for the Birthday Girls!

This is Jocelyn showing Lola all the goodies

Then, giving her a napkin to clean up with!

Our only family picture from the day

Eating Cake

Opening presents

Best Friends!!!

Her favorite present was the tool bench (she is a daddy's girl in case I forgot to mention it!)

We had such an awesome time at the girls' party. I can say that I was extremely worn out though. I will be very happy to have my kids' birthday 3 months apart, so I don't have to plan parties back to back!

Jocelyn is 2!

Jocelyn turned 2 on June 4th! I can't believe it has been 2 whole years that she has been in our life. I can't even remember what life was like before her. All I know is that we must have been pretty bored all the time. She had her 2 year well-visit last week and weighs 30 lbs and is 38 inches tall! The doctor never seems to tell me her percentile though and i always forget to ask. She is wearing 2T clothes, size 5 diapers and just moved to a size 7 shoe yesterday! It's funny how every day, Brian and I talk about how awesome she is and how we can't believe she came from us. She seriously amazes me everyday with the new things she learns.

This kid can copy what I say like you wouldn't believe. Luckily, she hasn't picked up on any of the bad words that slip out sometimes. She does like to say "Oh My Gosh" a lot, and I know she got that from me, not her daddy! Right now, she has started singing "Rain Rain go away" and she can count to 10, skipping a few numbers in there most of the time. She does know almost all of her colors, which the doctor said she was very impressed with! We still like to watch Toy Story more than I want to, but hey, you have to choose your battles right?!

She has been sleeping great. Unfortunately, she sleeps great only when she is in our bed :(  We can get her to go to bed in her crib, but either she will wake up and not go back to sleep until we go get her or she never goes to sleep at all and knows just what to call out so we will go in and rescue her! If I don't answer to "Mommy, where are youuuu? Come Hereeeee!" She knows I will come running for "Poopy Diaperrrrrr" So needless to say, I get worried that she will get a diaper rash and go in and get her. About 50% of the time, she is pulling out leg and has not pooped at all! I am getting really good at dodging punches and kicks to all of my body parts in the night though. I'm sure the bigger I get, the worse it will be to have 3 people in a queen size bed. The doctor did tell us that it is time to sleep train her (again). I am just waiting until I am not so tired because she said it will be "3 nights of pure hell" So, if I am ever caught up on sleep, we will do what the doctor said!

So, Nanny came to visit  for her birthday like i said in the last post. We had a lot of fun while she was here! On the actual Birthday, we woke up and had some special blue pancakes:
She opened all her presents. It was pretty hard to get her to concentrate on the next thing to open when she was so excited about the one she already had! She loved this little car and didn't want to get out!

Then we spent 3 hours at Chuck E Cheese. We were all so worn out after that!

It didn't stop us from going one of our favorite restaurants though, Taco Mamacita! Jocelyn loves that place. she had a special birthday treat of fried ice cream (which ! got no pictures of!) I did get a few more with nanny before she left though!

Summer Time!

As usual, I can't believe it has been a month and a half since my last post! I get behind, then instead of making one post to catch up, I think "Oh well, I'll wait until I have lot's of time to make lot's of posts" and never seem to find that time! So, be prepared for a couple posts to get you up to date. It will probably be a lot of pictures!

Mothers Day was a great day with my 2 favorite people! We woke up and Brian made us homemade pancakes, then we went down to the Market and looked around at all the crafts and yummy food. My favorite vendor was there, The Donut guy! Yuuuuummmmmyy! This guy has a little donut machine and makes fresh cinnamon sugar donuts. Heaven!

We have been trying to spend as much time in the water as possible. This is downtown at Coolidge Park. As you can see, J LOVES the splash pad!

We have been using our baby pools as much as we can. J would love to spend all waking hours out there.

Nanny came to visit for almost a week for Jocelyn's 2nd Birthday! Her birthday and party will be it's own post because it definitely deserves it!

This post was kind of boring, but you guys can get a little taste of what we've been doing and get to see how Jocie is growing!
